Fira Gran Via is one of the largest and most modern fair venues in Europe, designed by the renowned Japanese architect Toyo Ito, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. It is located between Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, in a new business development area, very close to the airport and connected to the public transport network.
The venue has eight halls, connected by a walkway that channels visitors, with some of the most advanced technical and logistical features. It also has a Convention Centre, located in Hall 8, a fully modular and versatile space with seating for between 3,000 and 12,000 people.
One of the most distinctive features of Fira Gran Via is its commitment to sustainability. The venue hosts one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic plants, with 26,000 solar panels installed on the roof. This plant avoids the annual emission of 2,047 tons of CO2 and generates enough energy to power 980 standard-family homes.
Fira Gran Via has a gross exhibition area of 240,000 sqm, which will be extended by 2024 with the construction of a new 60,000 sqm two-story building. The venue also offers 45 restaurants and 4,580 parking spaces for the convenience of visitors.
The venue was opened in 20074, after starting its construction in 1995. Since then, it has hosted some of the most important events in Barcelona, such as the Mobile World Congress, Smart City Expo World Congress, Alimentaria FoodTech, and many others.
ITC DIA Europe 2023 will be held at Fira Gran Via from June 27 to June 28. It will bring together insurance executives, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the globe to explore how technology is transforming the insurance industry. You can expect to see cutting-edge demos, insightful keynotes and panel discussions, and plenty of networking opportunities. Book a meeting with us!
